Pre-Adoption Health Care

Every Russian Blue kitten receives comprehensive veterinary care before going to their new home, including:

Complete physical examination by a licensed veterinarian
Age-appropriate vaccinations
Deworming treatments
Flea and parasite prevention
Health screening for common feline conditions

Health Documentation

You will receive complete health records for your kitten, including:

Veterinary examination reports

Genetic Health Guarantee

We guarantee that your kitten is free from genetic or congenital defects that would significantly impact their quality of life. This guarantee covers conditions that are present at the time of adoption but may not be immediately apparent.

If a genetic or congenital condition is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian within the guarantee period, we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

Initial Health Guarantee Period

We provide a 72-hour health guarantee from the time you take your kitten home. During this period, we recommend having your kitten examined by your own veterinarian to confirm their health status.

If your veterinarian identifies a health issue during this initial period, contact us immediately so we can work together to address the situation.

Extended Genetic Guarantee

Our extended genetic guarantee covers serious genetic or congenital conditions for a specified period from the date of adoption. This demonstrates our confidence in our breeding program and our commitment to producing healthy Russian Blue kittens.

Specific terms and duration will be outlined in your adoption contract.

Your Responsibilities

To maintain the health guarantee, adopters must:

Have the kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption
Provide appropriate veterinary care throughout the kitten's life
Follow feeding and care instructions provided
Keep the kitten indoors for safety and health
Maintain current vaccinations and preventive care

What's Not Covered

The health guarantee does not cover:

Conditions resulting from injury, neglect, or improper care
Parasites (treatable with routine care)
Upper respiratory infections (common in young kittens and treatable)
Conditions that develop due to environmental factors
Normal variations in size, color, or coat quality

Beyond our formal health guarantee, we provide lifelong support to all adopting families. We're always available to answer questions about your Russian Blue's health, behavior, or care needs.
